Sids Nest is totally funded by myself & Sidney.

By spreading the word about our playgroup, & purchasing tickets, you’re helping keep our doors open and our sessions full of fun.

Because we’re a small, independently run group, things like recommendations, shares, and friendly encouragement truly helps me & Sidney cover costs and carry on doing what we love.

Your support means we can continue offering a happy, welcoming space for children to play, grow, and enjoy time together — and we’re grateful to have you as a part of our little community project 🧩 πŸ’š

Welcome to Our SEN Stay & Play Adventure!

Come on in and join the fun!

Our Stay & Play sessions are a bright, cheerful space where children with additional needs — and their grown-ups — can explore, imagine, and make magical memories together, but most importantly, to feel like they belong!

From sensory fun, to making & learning to interact with new friends, every moment is designed to help little ones grow their confidence and build new skills while simply enjoying being themselves.
Here, you’ll find a friendly community of other care-givers ready to welcome you. Come join us, make new friends, and explore a place where every child is celebrated for who they are!

How we started

As a SEN parent, I have found it increasingly difficult to find places where Sidney & myself felt comfortable enough to let him "be him".

Sidney struggles to participate with classes, isn't sure how to play alongside other children, and, quite frankly, just wants to RUN the lengths of any room he's in!

Sidney is autistic, bounds of energy, with hypermobility, struggles with his balance & tripping over, in addition to tunnel vision.... A complete recipe for chaos!!

So, we decided to create our own safe space for children to be totally themselves, as well as allowing their carers to find a supportive network of adults in similar positions, & facing the same challenges.

During our sessions, we try to get the children together to participate in a joint activity, this usually is cupcake or biscuit decorating for their snack.
This encourages patience, teaches team work, builds confidence through independence, & creativity!

Our sessions are full of safe toys for plenty of free-play & imagination.
